Ukrainian Lullaby Concert

This concert presents the Ukrainian Lullaby Project, developed in collaboration with The Lullaby Project, a program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. The Lullaby Project pairs parents and caregivers with professional artists to compose and perform personal lullabies for their children, supporting parental well-being, early childhood development, and the emotional bond between parent and child.

Through partnerships across the United States and internationally, the project enables local organizations to support families in their communities through music and creative expression.

At UNC–Chapel Hill, the project was implemented by the Center for Slavic, Eurasian, and East European Studies (CSEEES) through a series of workshops held in 2025. Ukrainian women living in North Carolina collaborated closely with professional artists and musicians from both the United States and Ukraine to compose new lullabies rooted in personal experience, cultural memory, and family life.
